Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a series of actions used to intimidate and control an intimate partner. Batterers maintain control by regularly abusing their partners verbally, emotionally, physically, sexually and / or economically. Intimate partners include current or former dating, married or cohabitating relationships of all sexually oriented types of individuals. Although anyone can be a victim, the majority are women and their children.
