Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior batterers use to control their partners through fear and intimidation.  Abuse can be physical, sexual, psychological, verbal, or economic. It occurs in all cultures and all income levels.  

95% of victims are women. Teens, pregnant, and eldery women especially at risk. Children can also be victims.

Domestic violence is not the victim's fault. It is a behavior choice made by a batterer. 

Domestic violence breeds fear in families. Victims and their children are afraid. Some fear for their lives or the safety of their children and pets.     

Sexual assault can happen to anyone.  Victims can be children, teens and adults.

Adult victims can seek help from Family Safety Network whether or not they wish to report the crime to law enforcement.
